Hydroquinone Skin Bleach

Hydroquinone is a lightening agent ingredient that has some effective qualities to it but only works to try and bleach the darkened skin a lighter shade. This methodology has been shown to not be as effective as actually speeding up the process of turning over the skin with the use of an exfoliant or peeling agent like Alpha Hydroxy Acids and then treating the skin with a powerful skin lightening active skin care treatment.

Hydroquinone is very controversial and has been banned in several countries. Hydroquinone creams work by blocking the enzyme responsible for melanin. This method may need to be used up to six months before results are seen. These products can be purchased over the counter at a weak strength and at a higher strength by prescription. This treatment should not be used for more than six months as the chemical in it can cause other skin conditions. A safe alternative to Hydroquinone skin treatments is Alpha Light Serum which contains natural active ingredients.

It also worth noting that we are RETINOID FREE – Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) that is caused by acne breakouts can be treated with a prescription of retinoids. They also contain a chemical that will inhibit the production of melanin. This method may take up to 40 weeks to clear PIH and while using the product a person must be under the care of a dermatologist. A safe alternative to Retinoids is Alpha Light Serum which sees a reduction in acne scars and other pigment discoloration disorders in as little as 10 days.
